History
DAGAZ is a Celtic rune symbolizing "the beginning of a new path," capturing the spirit of the winemaker and co-founder, Marco Puyo, when establishing this boutique winery in the Colchagua Valley.

In 1994, Marco Puyo began exploring the diverse terroirs of the Colchagua Valley, crafting wines for the large wineries where he worked. In 2005, searching among the most outstanding origins he had encountered, he discovered a unique terroir in Pumanque. The following year, he became a partner in the planting of a 39-hectare vineyard. From 2009, he started manually producing small quantities of wine, making only one or two barrels per year. For the first time, he had the opportunity to create a wine on a personal scale, reflecting the spirit of the place. Today, there is a record of bottles from each of those vintages.

In 2015, Marco Puyo founded Viña DAGAZ and launched its first wine in 2016, a red blend of four varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Carménère, and Syrah. In 2019, he was joined by Jaime Muñoz, an agronomist with 20 years of experience in the wine industry.

DAGAZ wines have gained significant recognition and captivate with their exceptional character and quality, placing them in a prominent position in the eyes of international critics.
