History
Mujer Andina Wines was born in 2012 with the dream of creating high-quality sparkling wines and wines from different terroirs of Chile. Their first release was an organic traditional method sparkling wine, the first of its kind in Chile, made with the Syrah variety from the iconic Maipo Valley.
The majesty of the Andes Mountain Range and the work of the women who inhabit this region in the south of America are the inspiration behind the name of this boutique winery. Led by winemaker Andrea Jure, they are dedicated to the production of sparkling wines and premium wines, following an organic and sustainable philosophy with the environment. Their motto is clear: "The Andes, our source of inspiration; bubbles and wine, our greatest motivation."
The winery offers three lines of wines, including a rosé and two reds, as well as three lines of sparkling wines that are the heart of the project. Levita, their premium line with limited production, traditional method, and 100% organic grapes; Ai!, a Brut sparkling wine in two versions, each highlighting a different terroir of Chile through the selected variety, and the innovative Livianita de Sangre, Chile's first vegan Brut Zero sparkling wine cocktail.
Vineyard
Mujer Andina Wines has a variety garden vineyard on their property in the commune of Paine, at the heart of the Maipo Valley, featuring vines of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay.
The grapes used to craft their sparkling wines are sourced from different valleys. The Syrah grapes come from the emblematic D.O. Maipo, as well as from the Biobío Valley, Peralillo in Colchagua, and the Cachapoal Valley.
For their El Infaltable Pinot Noir line, the grapes are sourced from Nueva Imperial, in the southern zone, Cautín Valley.
