History
Viña Altos de Bonani was born in 2014 from the long-standing dream of an Italian-Chilean family. Inspired by Italian tradition, the courage, and the characteristic efforts of their immigrants, Antonio Giuseppe Bonani Rizzolli, along with Verónica Canales, Franco Bonani, and Lorenzo Bonani, guided by their friend Andrés Jara, found a special place in the Cachapoal Valley, ideal for crafting a new story, and planted a 3-hectare vineyard at the foothills of the Andes Mountains.
Their philosophy is to carry out sustainable work in harmony with the environment, producing exclusive, refined, and elegant wines, while also creating a meeting space for visitors that promotes the overall well-being of people, allowing them to live a unique and intimate experience.
Vineyard
The 3-hectare vineyard is located in the Cachapoal Valley, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The valley has varied microclimates that range from cool in the elevated vineyards of the Andean foothills to warm and temperate in the areas near the coastal hills. The soils, especially in the piedmont, are of alluvial origin, which favors drainage, oxygenation, and deep root development of the plants, creating exceptional conditions for the production of high-quality wine grapes, particularly red varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The mountains act as true temperature regulators between day and night, favoring the production of grapes with balanced acidity and tannins. Grape varieties planted: Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
