History
Founded in 1995 by Chilean agricultural entrepreneur Juan Sutil, Viña Sutil is a family-owned company with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and environmental respect, aiming to create authentic and high-quality wines.

Their dedication to sustainability is reflected in their BRGS certification, ensuring sustainable practices in all their processes. Furthermore, all their wines are vegan-friendly.

Since its establishment in 1995 in the Colchagua Valley, Viña Sutil has expanded its presence to Chile's major appellations, including Limarí, Maipo, Maule, and Itata. In each of these regions, they aim to highlight the unique characteristics of each terroir to produce wines that showcase the best of Chile.

As a family vineyard with over two decades of experience nurturing their love for agriculture and rural life, Viña Sutil has successfully passed down their passion for viticulture to the new generations.

Vineyards
Viña Sutil offers a careful selection of wines from various appellations of origin.

Itata
One of the first vineyards planted over 100 years ago in the Guarilihue area, in the Itata Valley. It is located on the Coastal Mountain Range, 19 km in a straight line from the Pacific Ocean, and 450 km south of Santiago. The soils are decomposed granite and clay, of volcanic origin, very poor and ancient. The coastal climate receives abundant rainfall, allowing cultivation in dry conditions. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean moderates temperatures during the grape ripening period. Planted in a goblet (or head-trained) system, close to the ground, the vines are only watered by winter rains. Grape varieties: Chasselas, País, Cinsault, Sémillon, Moscatel, Riesling.

Casablanca
Las Nubes Vineyard located in the Casablanca Valley, on slopes with different sun exposures in the Coastal Mountain Range. The soil is granite, with red clay on the surface. Trellis system. Grape variety: Pinot Noir.

Maipo
Vineyard at the foot of the Andes Mountains, on an old terrace of the Maipo River. The soil is alluvial, very deep with the presence of stones that provide great permeability and a percentage of clay, depending on the depth, allowing it to retain moisture. Trellis system. Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon.

Colchagua Costa
Huertos de Ucuquer Vineyard, 19 km in a straight line from the sea, on the south bank of the Rapel River, near its mouth. It is located at 170 meters above sea level. The soil is granite, with the presence of clay and silt; it has low organic matter content and good drainage, allowing roots to penetrate deeply. The climate is semi-arid and coastal, with strong influence from the Pacific Ocean and the Rapel River. Trellis system. Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc.

Colchagua
San Jorge Vineyard, in the heart of the valley, on the south bank of the Tinguiririca River, 55 km from the Pacific Ocean and 45 km from the Andes Mountains. Soils farther from the river are deep and clayey, heavy, with moisture retention. Mediterranean temperate climate. Coastal humidity and cloudiness exist, and there is a marked temperature contrast between winter and summer in the interior. Trellis system. Grape varieties: Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier.

Maule
Los Conquistadores Vineyard, 20 km northeast of the town of Cauquenes, on the north bank of the Cauquenes River. Depending on the proximity to the river, the soils vary. Granitic soil, maicillo type, and presence of clay, low organic matter, and quartz content. Soils closer to the river with presence of round rocks throughout the profile. Hot and persistent climate during the day in the season, with cool and windy nights from the coast. Trellis system. Grape varieties: Petit Verdot, Cariñena, Garnacha, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah.

Limarí
Vineyard located in the Tabalí area, on the coastal part of the Limarí Valley, 25 km in a straight line from the Pacific Ocean, at an altitude of 205 meters above sea level. It is situated on an amphitheater-shaped hillside on the south bank of the Limarí River, with different angles of north-facing exposures. The soil is alluvial with varying levels of surface clay, round stones throughout the profile, deep, with veins of calcareous material, mainly composed of calcium carbonate. The climate is cold coastal, with strong influence from the Pacific Ocean, very bright days, and evening winds that moderate temperatures during the ripening period. Trellis system. Grape varieties: Syrah, Chardonnay.
