History
Valdivieso is one of the oldest and most traditional wineries in Chile. Its history dates back to the year 1879 when Don Alberto Valdivieso founded Champagne Alberto Valdivieso S.A., the first producer of sparkling wines in Chile and South America. Since then, it has established itself as a leader in the category in the domestic and South American markets, and more recently, it has expanded its presence to Europe and Asia. After a century since its foundation, the winery modernized the production of still wines from its cellars in Santiago and Lontué, in the Curicó Valley. These wines have achieved international recognition and have become icons of consumption in different countries, with high-end products like Caballo Loco, and association brands such as Vigno.

Vineyrads
Fundo La Primavera - D.O. Sagrada Familia - Curicó Valley
Comprising different vineyards totaling 240 hectares in production. Its soils consist of decomposed granite from the central batholith combined with rock structures from the Coastal Range. The vineyards are very old, with some dating back to 1911, such as Cabernet Franc and Merlot. A subdivision of this estate is the La Campana hillside, which receives more sunlight and houses varieties that require greater sun exposure, such as Roussane, Viognier, Marsanne, and Syrah.

Limarí Valley
Soils with calcareous terraces, technified irrigation due to scarce rainfall, and high cold influence from the Pacific Ocean. They produce Syrah and Chardonnay.

Hacienda Chada - Maipo Valley
Soils of decomposed rock from the Andes, aluvial soils that take on a rounded rock form and have good clay structure. Excellent thermal oscillation and influence of cold breezes from winds descending from the Andes. They obtain Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

D.O. Apalta - Colchagua Valley
A small horseshoe-shaped area flanked by the Tinguiririca River, with a diversity of soils mainly composed of iron-rich clays and decomposed rock, with quartz and granite also present. The warm climate is suitable for late ripening grapes, such as Carménère.

Casablanca Valley
Vineyard on the southern side of the valley, an area of cold influence, prone to frost, and currently experiencing a serious drought. They harvest Sauvignon Blanc.

Biobío Valley
Vineyard with volcanic soils, with a cold-influenced climate due to latitude, abundant rainfall, and winds. They produce the base wines for their sparkling wines.

Itata Valley
Vineyards nestled in small hills, head-trained vines, low-intervention soils, with no more than 3 hectares per producer. They produce Cinsault and País wines.

Campo Melozal - Maule Valley
Clay soils from the coastal dryland and a warm climate. They produce Carignan.
